Pizza con Salsiccia
My first pizza in Italy. Sicilian style (square with a thick, dense crust). It had some sort of sausage on it… not sure what kind. The crust was so good, and the sauce was alright (probably because it was just a “take away” pizza place and not an actual restaurant), but it was still delicious.

Spritzi di Aperol
Gross… A drink that is supposedly widely popular in Italy. Literally Aperol Spritz, it is made with the extremely bitter orange flavored liqueur called Aperol and a splash of seltzer. It is… disgusting.Drank it anyways.

CaffèThe coffee here is… well, real coffee. That means “Un caffè, per favore” will get you a shot of espresso, because that is what coffee here is. A coffee like how you and I are used to having would be a caffè Americano (espresso with water added).It is all delicious, nonetheless.

Rigatoni con Polpette
Lunch was paid for by Lorenzo, the Director at the Scuola. The pasta was cooked to perfection, al dente, and the meatballs were so delicious. I added a little olive oil, and some fresh parmesan. Squisito!

Panino con Salame, Brie e Rucola
Went to lunch after the first day of orientation. Small sandwich shop close to the Scuola. Best panini ever, the salami was so fresh, and brie on a sandwich is so amazing.
